Escrow Agent Surety Bond

An Escrow Agent Surety Bond is a license and permit surety bond required by certain jurisdictions of individuals or companies who provide escrow services to its citizens. An Escrow Agent is any person engaged in the business of receiving escrows for deposit or delivery either in person or on the internet. Escrow is defined as any transaction wherein one person, for the purpose of effecting the sale, transfer, encumbering, or leasing of real property to another person, delivers any written instrument, money or other thing of value to a third person to be held by such third person until the happening of a specified event when it is then to be delivered by such third person to a grantee. The bond guarantees the delivery of the escrow to the grantee within the specified time period.
