Continuity Clause Surety Bond

A Continuity Clause Surety Bond is a general term to describe a bond that has a clause included that assumes liability for any loss due to acts that occurred before the bond was in force but that were discovered after the expiration of the discovery period of a previous bond. The liability assumed by the bond with the continuity clause is only subject to the terms of that bond as issued.
